ABOUT DAVID

David comes from a farming background, his family lived and farmed on the Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and South Yorkshire border. After being educated to ‘A’ level standard, David did farm management training on one of the large ducal estates in the area, before returning to run the home farm.

Dissatisfied with the way farming was going in the 1980’s, he went into sales for a few years before setting up a landscape contracting company that specialised in golf course construction and the design, turfing and planting of new housing estates. It was during this time that David employed up to twenty poorly qualified school leavers, both boys and girls. He found that he could motivate them and give them a sense of self esteem. Following a spell working with David, many have gone on to decent careers in the landscape, plant hire, construction and catering industries,

It was in the early 1990’s that David became interested in psychology and hypno-analysis (see smoking page) and, soon after that, ongoing problems with UV rays made him decide to take up hypno-analysis full time.

PROFESSIONAL TRAINING

David is a full member of the International Association of HypnoAnalysts, established in 1984 as an organisation dedicated to the professional and ethical use of hypnosis for the treatment of nervous disorders. The IAH is the largest and longest running association of analytical hypnotherapists in the world having trained over 7,000 people since the 80's.

Hypnotherapists in the IAH are bound by a very strict code of practice and ethics and have undertaken to abide by the rules of the association which includes a minimum number of hours of evidenced Continuous Professional Development (advanced training) and Personal and Professional Support (Supervision) per year.
